We also breed horses, and put on a horse show – in fourteen languages. We welcome visitors no gamestop to see our greenhouses, and then enjoy a taste of the crop. Their five children, Dóróthea, Karítas, Matthías Jens, Arnaldur and Tómas Ingi, all play an active part in the family business.

And now they can take delicious food souvenirs made of our tomatoes and cucumbers away with them. The main house where we stayed was beautiful, everything looked new and built with wood. Very relaxing and quite a place to stay. We stayed in a nice cabin with a hot tub 🙂 Please contact us if you want to add an extra children bed.

Green energy, pure water and biological pest controls make for tasty and healthful tomatoes. The tomatoes are now grown all year, using state-of-the-art technology in an environmentally-friendly way. We would love to hear about your stay at our guesthouse or cottages.

The cottage also provides a private entrance and a toilet. Comfortable and cozy cottage featuring a terrace with furniture and a bbq. We offer 9 different cottages in all sizes, from 2-person up to 10-person cottages. In our tomato shop, you can find all kinds of products made from our harvest. From the beginning, the main focus has been on breeding beautiful horses with a good temperament and who are willing to work. The cold water we irrigate in the greenhouses is the same water we drink at home and serve to our guests in the restaurant.

Find Icelandic expertise in renewable energy and circular solutions. In total, there are around 40 horses at Friðheimar. Currently, there are two to three award-winning breeding mares on our farm and we only use award-winning stallions for breeding. Emphasis is placed on a smooth tölt, with a good foot lift and fast pace, preferably spacious five-gaited horses. It is a valuable resource for us Icelanders to have access to good and abundant spring water for irrigation. Visits to the greenhouses are available all year round for prebooked groups.

There is also an extra bed in the rooms if needed. Cozy bungalow with a double bed and a bunk bed. A refreshing drink packed with energy and goodness.
